Easy 30-Minute Main Dish Recipes for Anyone On the Go

There's nothing like sitting down to enjoy a warm, home-cooked meal. However, not all of us has time to prepare one given our daily busy schedules. But if you could take even half an hour a day to cook, forget ordering fast food or eating microwave meals - they're not good for your health! Here are delicious main dish recipes you can prepare.
Quick Szechuan Chicken
Total Prep Time: 30 minutes
What you need:
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 3 onions, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine chicken cubes and cornstarch in a large resealable plastic bag. Shake the bag to coat chicken. Heat vegetable over medium-high heat in a pan and cook chicken and garlic for 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Add water, soy sauce, wine vinegar and sugar. Cover and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Stir in onions and season with cayenne pepper and cover for 2 minutes more. Serve over rice.
Classic Delicious Chili
Total Prep Time: 30 minutes
What you need:
  • 1/2 kilogram ground beef
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups kidney beans
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons chili seasoning mix
Crumble ground beef over medium-high heat in a large pan. Cook, stirring constantly, until browned. Drain excess oil and stir in tomatoes and kidney beans then season with chili seasoning. Lower heat to medium, cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Honey-Mustard Boneless Pork Chops
Total Prep Time: 30 minutes
What you need:
  • 1 1/4 kilograms center-cut boneless pork chops, about 1/2-inch thick
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Garlic powder, or more to taste
Heat butter over medium-high heat in a pan then add pork chops. Season with garlic powder and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip chops, season with remaining garlic powder and fry for 2 to 3 minutes more. In a small bowl, mix together honey and mustard until combined thoroughly. Brush chops with the mixture and cook for 5 minutes. Flip, brush with honey-mustard mixture and cook for another 5 minutes, or until pork is cooked through.
